Hello, my name is Andrew Mackay, and I have worked in the construction industry for over 35 years. I initially began my career in London, UK and later relocated to Sydney in 2006.
Since 2006, I have been involved in a wide range of projects. These include completing the new office fit out for the Lord Mayor of Sydney, refurbishing heritage aircraft hangars, conducting multi-floor office fitouts, setting up retail stores (including several banks), as well as working on projects for the Department of Justice Correctional Centres.
Since moving to Sydney, I have actively engaged with the LGBTQI community. In the past, I served as a Board Member of the Sydney Gay Lesbian Business Association. In 2024, I joined the NSW Committee for Queers in Property, an independent network that aims to connect and support LGBTIQ+ individuals in the property and construction industry, promoting visibility, empowerment, and professional assistance.
